Jurandil Juarez, director-president of the Economic Development Agency of Amapá, popularly the Amapá Agency, understands that the state needs to create technical and scientific knowledge, as well as specialized labor, to enter the new world economy, which requires the use of alternative sources of electricity to of fossil fuels.
Jurandil, who is an economist, shows that Amapá is inserting itself in a very positive way in the theme of clean energy, because it has the ideal conditions for the new fuel that the world is requesting. He cites green hydrogen as one of the alternatives to energy that has fossil fuels as its source.
The head of the Amapá Agency claims that there are multinational companies with concrete proposals to sustainably exploit the state’s vegetation cover for the production of green hydrogen, and that is why Amapá residents have to start living with the new business world that is emerging.
“We cannot be prejudiced against foreign investors. We need to know how to welcome Brazilians or foreigners who want to invest here. Capital has no homeland, no place. So, it is necessary to know how to welcome these investors well, like those who were here in Amapá at the seminar recently held”pointed out Jurandil.
Other points cited by Jurandil Juarez regarding the duties of the state of Amapá to become one of the world’s granaries in clean energy: having credibility and providing guarantees and legal conditions for large investors interested in creating sources of electricity with the sustainable exploitation of forest.
