[ad_1]
A delegation of foreign ministers from Arab countries should come to Brazil soon, as part of the effort for Palestine to be admitted by the UN as a full member of the entity. Currently, the territory has observer status.
The intention to carry out the visit was communicated to the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, during a visit to the Middle East. The Palestinian Foreign Minister himself, Riyad al-Maliki, is expected to be part of the delegation.
Vieira visited authorities in the West Bank this Sunday (17), including the president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas. At the meeting, he promised Brazil’s support for the campaign for recognition at the UN.
