This year, 2024, the Master World Cup is in its 8th edition and is traditionally held at the Turíbio Guimarães arena, and organized by the Associação Solteiros e Casados do Bairro do Trem (ASCBT). The current champion of the competition is the Czech Republic, who beat Greece on penalties 6-5.
From March 15th, 32 teams with players over 40 will be participating in the competition, which has the same format as the FIFA World Cup. There will be eight groups with four teams, with the top two teams moving on to the knockout stage.
Still in February there will be a meeting with representatives of the 32 teams that participated in the last edition and the value of this year’s prize will be defined, which will be in cash and a replica of the World Cup cup, and whether there will be registrations for new teams .
