It is now available on the State Department of Health account (Sesa) the amount of R$ 1,744,971.00 (one million, seven hundred and forty-four thousand, nine hundred and seventy-one reais), allocated via parliamentary amendment by the federal deputy Professor Goreth (PDT-AP). The value is specific to the High Complexity Oncology Unit (Unacon) of Amapá.
The document officializing the availability of the parliamentary amendment authored by him was sent on Tuesday, 31, to Unacon and the Government of Amapá. The resource is intended for the acquisition of specialized equipment for the oncology area.
“With this contribution we will be able to offer better treatment to all patients”, reinforced Sandra Ribeiro, administrative director of Unacon.
Currently, chemotherapy treatments are offered to cancer patients in Amapá. Cases of users who need cancer treatments not carried out in the State themselves are referred to other treatment centers, through the Out-of-Home Treatment Program (PTFD).
Since the beginning of her mandate, Professor Goreth has had ongoing dialogue with Unacon’s management, in addition to making frequent visits to the unit and talking to oncology patients. The deputy considers that it is necessary to establish a commitment between Amapá parliamentarians, which ensures permanent financial support for oncology in Amapá.
“My commitment, now, is, together with the Federal Bench of Amapá, to ensure permanent support for oncology, a specialty that requires a lot of our attention”concluded the parliamentarian.
