Manaus (AM) – Councilor Lissandro Breval defended, this Wednesday morning (4), the holding of a public hearing to discuss the Manaus Master Plan. According to the parliamentarian, whose request was approved in plenary, the accelerated growth of the capital of Amazonas brought to light the need to review the current plan, to make changes that prevent current legislation from harming development. Lissandro chairs the Parliamentary Front to Support Companies in the Real Estate Market (Faemi) of the CMM.
“Manaus has exploded and urban planning needs to keep up with this. Today we approved a request for a public hearing where we will discuss the Master Plan, which has not been updated since 2014. This is the time when we will listen to various bodies and fight to bring forward the sending of the review message to the Manaus City Council”,
explained the councilor.
Breval also reinforced his concern about job creation in Manaus. According to the parliamentarian, the current plan has legislation that disregards the city’s growth and has harmed job creation in the capital.
“Civil construction must also actively participate in these discussions. We need to discuss what has been holding back the opening of new construction sites, that is, the creation of jobs in Manaus. Every vision, idea, whatever can contribute to the message to be sent by the municipal management to the House will be extremely important”, he concluded.
