With the support of the Municipality of Macapá, through the Municipal Sports and Leisure Coordination (Comel), the Municipal Culture Foundation (Fumcult) and the Municipal Tourism Institute (Macapatur), athletes of various ages competed, this Saturday (13), the 54th edition of North Extreme Cagefighting (NEC). The innovative competition aims to reveal new fighters, in addition to moving Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in the state of Amapá.
According to Comel’s coordinator, Bruno Igreja, Macapá is experiencing a new moment in sport as well. “I congratulate everyone involved in organizing this great sporting event. Sport is a tool for social transformation and our management is helping to make that happen”, emphasized Bruno.
With the gym full and a lot of competition in the octagon, 18 fighters participated in the competition. Among all disputes, one was in the female category, totaling nine fights of three rounds, each lasting five minutes.
Cleivan Montanha, from Macapa, became the first champion fighter of the night, when he defeated Robson Alucinado, by unanimous decision, in the lightweight dispute, up to 70 kg.
Still ecstatic about the fight, Cleivan’s mother, Odilha Miranda, said that watching the competition was one of the most emotional moments.
“It was through struggle that my son learned discipline and persistence in everything he does. Every time my son enters to compete are difficult moments, but today, in a competition like this, where the best are, it was even more distressing. When he won, my heart exploded with happiness ”, celebrated Odilha.
In the women’s fight, for the strawweight, up to 52kg, fighter Maria Clarita showed that she was willing to fight, while her opponent, Aline PitBull, only made defensive moves. In the 2nd round, the fighter from the municipality of Calçoene submitted her opponent.

During the break of one of the competitions, Felipe “Cabocão” Colares, an athlete who became a national highlight, was honored. The MMA fighter died earlier this month.
With only cell phone flashlights illuminating the space where the event was taking place, the crowd seemed to be lit up with stars, which made the scene even more exciting.
On the occasion, the fighter’s relatives received a personalized belt from the event organizers, symbolizing his trajectory in the sport, which includes 11 victories and four defeats in MMA. Cabocão was Jungle Fight featherweight champion in 2017 and had six fights in the UFC between 2019 and 2022.
Irreverence
One of the most anticipated encounters of this edition was the fight between digital influencers “Fabuloso Nunes” and “Picadinho”. It was the first time they participated in a professional MMA event.
Showing great personality. Fabuloso, from Santa Catarina, even joked with his opponent and, full of confidence, went after his opponent, Picadinho, when with a strong blow he knocked him out in the first round, exciting the public.
