52nd Expofair brings sports programming with 3×3 and adapted basketball – News of Brazil

Inclusion is present at the 52nd Expofeira do Amapá with 3×3 basketball and adapted at the Sports Festival organized by the State Department of Sports and Leisure (Sedel) within the Fazendinha Exhibition Park. The event has other modalities and continues with electronic game tournaments and an exhibition of social martial arts projects until October 8th.
This weekend, the festival highlights 3×3 basketball performances and adapted for wheelchair users. In these modalities, the games take place until Sunday and athletes in the male and female adult and male under-15 categories participate. Participant Rafael Euclides, who in addition to practicing the sport is a preschool teacher, highlighted the importance of this modality in the event.
“For me it is a new fact, which demonstrates that this is an Expofair of inclusion, through sport, we people with disabilities, become increasingly participants in society, I thank the State Government for the initiative”explained Rafael.
Many teams came from different locations in the state, as is the case with the team of young Gustavo Santos, aged 12, who came from the Fé em Deus neighborhood, in Santana, just to participate in the event’s under-15 tournament.
“Basketball is a sport that changed my life and is in my heart. I hope that with events like Expofeira, basketball will grow even more in Amapá, with more teams coming. It’s a sport that people need to know more about, because it’s a cool sport, it’s a leisure sport that makes us happy”, commented Gustavo.
The inclusive look is part of a differentiated program that seeks to bring together all Expofeira audiences, as highlighted by the coordinator of support for municipalities at the Department of Sports and Leisure, Hudson Mafra.
“We are very happy to hold the first sports festival in the history of Expofeira. We are certainly making history and inclusion in this gigantic program. There will be more than 12 modalities and lots of joy in these 10 days of event”, highlighted Mafra.

The event continues with archery and social martial arts projects. The public will also enjoy breaking, crossfit and motocross competitions, which will take place on the circuit at Fazendinha Exhibition Park. In addition to the electronic sports exhibition, Expo Play, which will open the participation of game lovers present at the stand, and Expo Combat, an MMA event, which will take place near the Expofeira Show Arena.
