3rd edition of the Worker’s Race will run for 5.5 kilometers – News of Brazil

This Thursday (18) the 3rd edition of Corrida do Trabalhador was launched and the thousand registrations were all sold out in a few minutes. The competition takes place on the 28th of May. There are 5.5 kilometers, with departure and arrival at the Estádio Olímpico Zerão.
To confirm participation in the competition, participants need to donate two kilos of non-perishable food (less salt). All subscribers will receive kits with shirt, chip, numbering, fruit, hydration.
The route will start at the stadium and run along Josmar Pinto Highway (formerly JK), Embrapa roundabout, Marco Zero Monument, Hildemar Maia roundabout and Rua Victa Mota Dias, returning to the same starting point: Estádio Zerão.
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for 5 age groups: 15 to 29 years old; 30 to 39 years old; 40 to 49 years old; 50 to 59 years old and over 60 years old.
The sports program is organized by the Secretariat for Sports and Leisure (Sedel) and is part of the Worker’s Month, coordinated by the State Secretariat for Labor and Entrepreneurship (Sete).
