Manaus (AM) – The City of Manaus, through the Municipal Health Department (Semsa), informs that the Mobile Women’s Health Units that serve the North and East zones will operate at new addresses from Monday (13). The structure that serves the neighborhoods of the West zone will remain at the Magdalena Arce Daou Family Community Center, on Avenida Brasil, Santo Antônio neighborhood, until the 17th.

From Monday the 13th, the Mobile Women’s Health Unit in the North Zone will serve residents of the Viver Melhor – 1st stage and surrounding area, in the Lago Azul neighborhood, based on Avenida da Conquista, close to the fair. . This Friday, the 10th, the structure ends its activities on Avenida Cristian, in Praça Irmã Helena, Colônia Terra Nova neighborhood, where it had been operating since October 30th.

In the East zone, starting on Monday (13), the itinerant unit aimed at the female population will operate at the Full-Time Education Center (Ceti) Professor Cinthia Regia Gomes do Livramento, on Hibisco street, Distrito Industrial I neighborhood. mobile service, located since October 23rd on Rua Ágatas, Nova Floresta community, Tancredo Neves, concludes services on site, this Friday (10).

Services

Offering exclusive care for the female public, the Mobile Women’s Health Units are part of Semsa’s strategy to reinforce prevention and health promotion actions aimed at this population, with an emphasis on prenatal care and early diagnosis of breast cancer. breast and uterus. The structures are open from Monday to Friday, on weekdays, from 7am to 5pm.

The itinerant structures began operating on July 25th, in the North zone, and on July 26th, in the East and West zones. By the end of October, the three units had carried out 32,191 health procedures, including 2,806 mammograms and 10,812 various ultrasound exams. In the same period, they offered 11,515 consultations, 7,211 of which were medical and 4,304 nursing.

The units also offer prenatal care, collection of cervical cancer preventive exams, rapid tests for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis, administration of vaccines and dispensing of medications.

In each structure, teams composed of two doctors (a general practitioner and a specialist in radiology and imaging diagnosis), a nurse, a nursing technician, a radiology and imaging technician, and two administrative assistants work.
