Wineries in the Curitiba region promote summer events

Getting to know a vineyard, with the right to a guided tour, contact with the vines and the wine making process is an experience that is closer than you might think. In Araucária and Campo Largo, two wineries promote events and experiences open to visitors.
Vinícola Legado promotes the Harvest Festival in Campo Largo. There are two weekends in which participants have the opportunity to follow different events.
On the 21st and 22nd of January, from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm, Dawn in the Vineyard takes place, with the harvest of burgundy grapes. In addition to a guided tour, special clothes to get in the mood and eating freshly picked fruits, participants can take home a kilo of grapes.
On the 4th and 5th of February, it’s time for the Colheita with Sparkling Wine, also from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. During these days, the Merlot and Viognier wine grapes, used in the production of sparkling wine Flair, will be harvested. An opportunity also to taste the sparkling wine in the vineyard.
The script
Both events begin at the headquarters of Vinícola Legado, with a welcome, explanations about the process and delivery of kits that will help the activity. In it, the customer receives a hat, apron, scissors and a basket.
After visiting the vineyard in the company of the winery’s owners, participants are invited to taste a table with local products, such as shredded ham, pickled meat, quiches, empanadas, bread mix, grain and Greek salad, caponata, cheese, cold cuts and chocolate puff.
Tours cost between R$90 and R$225. Children under 5 years old are free. Tickets can be purchased at the event’s hotsite.

As of this Friday (01/20), Vinícola Araucária will begin to receive participants for its guided tours. Until the 20th of February, it is possible to follow the wine making process, learn about the management of the vineyards and taste the labels produced on site.
The immersion lasts about an hour and costs R$50 per person. In the itinerary it is possible to include lunch at the Gralha Azul restaurant, with prices between R$55 (kids menu) and R$120 (Araucaria menu).
