Vaccine available in 74 health units in the capital
Manaus (AM) – The vaccination campaign against Covid-19 continues to offer vaccines from Monday (30th) to Wednesday (1st). Manaus City Hall, through the Municipal Health Department (Semsa), makes immunizers available in 74 health units, nine of which operate with extended opening hours, from 7am to 7pm or from 7am to 9pm. Using the link bit.ly/localvacinacovid19, users can check the addresses and opening hours of each health establishment.
The head of Semsa, Shádia Fraxe, emphasizes the Manaus City Council’s efforts to control the spread of the Sars-Cov-2 virus, adopting strategies to expand user access to the vaccine.
“It is important to emphasize that to be vaccinated, you must bring an official document with photo, CPF or Unified Health System (SUS) Card”,
reinforces.
People aged 12 and over must seek one of the City Hall’s 74 vaccination points. The guidance for those under 12 years old is that their parents or guardians take them to specific units, 14 of which are aimed at babies aged 6 months to 4 years old, and 35 for children aged 5 to 11 years old.
Shádia Fraxe highlights the safety and effectiveness of vaccines offered on the public network, which are the most effective way to protect people from 6 months of age.
“The complete vaccination schedule includes two doses of the primary schedule and a booster dose. People who have already started the scheme and are in doubt about doses and deadlines can check their vaccination status on the Imuniza Manaus platform (imuniza.manaus.am.gov.br), just providing their CPF number”,
he said.
