Toy fair in Japan displays Barbie and Pikachu doll – 06/08/2023 – Market

One of the biggest toy events in Japan, the International Tokyo Toy Show 2023 (Tokyo International Toy Show) starts this Thursday (8). This is the first edition open to the public in four years.
There are around 150 companies, Japanese and from other countries, that exhibit more than 35 thousand products. Among them, board games, playing cards, electronic devices and dolls, such as Barbie and Pikachu characters. The event takes place at Tokyo Big Sight, the largest convention center in the country.
The event runs until Sunday (11), with the first two days closed for marketing purposes only.
The international toy fair has been held since 1962. According to Japan News, organizers expect around 70,000 people on days open to the public.
General admission to the fair is free for visitors up to elementary school age. High school students and adults pay 1,500 yen (R$53).
