The Argentine cuisine restaurant Tierra Del Fuego is the first restaurant in Paraná to receive the Angus Seal, from the Brazilian Angus Association. The seal is part of the Certified Angus Beef Program, which authenticates the quality of the animals that give rise to the product.

Certification for producers has existed since 2003, but only reached restaurants this year. Mariana Biesuz, owner of Tierra Del Fuego, explains that the Angus Seal arrived quickly, as the restaurant already met the requirements. “We achieved certification in 15 days. We already had the entire process that needed to be done, as it was something we already followed here. We already met all the criteria they required, so it was quick. For us it was a confirmation of the seriousness of our work.”

To earn the seal, the animal must have at least 50% Angus genetics, a fat finish of at least 4mm and no influence from dairy and zebu breeds.

Terra Del Fuego specializes in meats prepared in grill, type of barbecue used in Argentina and Uruguay that uses a firewood brazier to cook the cuts. The restaurant is located at Rua Barão de Guaraúna, 550 – Juvevê.
