single person families that are irregularly registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico) can now voluntarily request the deletion of your data of the system. The new function is available on the registration website and application, the gateway to 32 federal government social benefits, such as the Bolsa Familia.

The implementation of the beneficiaries’ withdrawal request was announced by the Ministry of Social Development this week, and regulated by an ordinance published in the Official Gazette on Wednesday (the 15th).

According to the folder, the new functionality will operate only on weekdaysfrom 7 am to 9 pm.

“The objective is to encourage the voluntary exit from the Cadastro Único of those who were induced to register incorrectly to receive the Auxílio Brasil, the former Federal Government income transfer program, only for single-person registrations. That is, of those who claimed to live alone , but, in fact, he lives with his family,” the ministry said.

According to the government, based on exclusion, these people will be able to seek assistance in their cities – at the Social Assistance Reference Centers (Cras), for example – and re-register correctly.

One-person records of those who receive the Continuing Provision Benefit (BPC/Loas) are not the target of the action, as well as homeless people.

Also according to the ministry, the red button “Cancel your registration” will be available both when accessing CadÚnico through the application and on the website, after logging in with the Gov.br CPF and password. In addition, people can also seek the municipal management of the Cadastro Único to request exclusion.

According to the folder, however, to avoid overloading the service locations, the government agreed with municipalities and states a schedule for the investigation of single-person registrations, which will March to December 2023. The warnings will come through extract messages and even SMS.
