At an event at FGV (Fundação Getulio Vargas) in São Paulo, she added that the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva knows that it is not possible to spend more than it collects, as well as it is not possible to live with two or three years of deficit. primary.

She also stated that it is not part of the government’s plans to promote tax increases to carry out the planned investments within public policy, especially in the areas of education and health. The minister also stated that the PPA (Pluriannual Plan) will be made public next week, with an agenda scheduled for May and June for the government to visit all the country’s capitals to discuss and hear suggestions regarding the plan.

Tebet also stated that the first 100 days of the government “were not easy” due to budget limits to meet all demands, with the need to “change tires with the car in motion.”
