The Minister of Planning and Budget, Simone Tebet, said this Friday (14th) that the government should present the Pluriannual Plan (PPA) “the most participatory in history”. The PPA is a medium-term plan to guide public policies in the coming years. Tebet said that she intends to visit all the capitals between May and June to count on the participation of states and civil society representatives.

“In these 100 days, we had to project the future and prepare a PPA, which will become public starting next week. We are going to tour Brazil in May and June, we are going to visit all the capitals in the country. It will be the most participatory PPA in history,” said the minister, reported the Metrópoles portal.

Tebet also said that in the second half of the year, the ministry should carry out long-term planning, with objectives up to 2040. The minister participated in the launch of Agenda Brasil 2034, a document prepared by the Movimento Brasil Competitivo (MBC) with the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).

“Perhaps it is my great mission: to change the culture of public administration. No company runs without strategic planning. If you don’t plan and put it at the tip of your pencil, there’s no way to compete inside and outside Brazil. Brazil does not have the culture of strategic planning,” she added.
