Teatro Amazonas announces July show schedule

Manaus (AM) – The Teatro Amazonas presented the program of shows from the 1st to the 16th of July, which will feature dance, music, plays, among other cultural attractions.
On July 1st, with sessions at 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, the program began with the Backstage Dance Studio, which presented the show “15 classics”, bringing, through dance, an immersion in stories such as Harry Potter, Tarzan and High School Musical.
On the 2nd, at 11 am, the children enjoyed the “Balloons” program, with the clown Caco. In this 50-minute show, Caco relives moments, meets people and makes new friends. With the lightness of a balloon, the clown invites the public to be a child again and to float without falling.
Still on Sunday, the 2nd, with sessions at 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm, Ateliê 23 presented the show “Cabaré Chinelo”. The story tells the other side of the prostitutes who lived in the belle époque period in the city of Manaus. The indicative rating is for people over 18 years old, and the play contains symbolic scenes of violence.
Starting the “Meeting of the Waters” series, the Chamber Orchestra, the Folklore Ballet and the Madrigal do Amazonas will exhibit the musical “Divaland”, which will take place on July 4th and 5th, at 8 pm. The show seeks to represent several female personalities that we conceive as “Divas” in different areas of art, such as music, cinema, fashion and theater. Tickets can be purchased on the website, and entry is for over 16 years old.
On July 6th, the show “Natsukashii” will bring a sense of nostalgia as it recalls childhood in the golden days of Japanese anime and manga. The event, held by the Geek Jukebox group, starts at 8 pm and tickets are on sale on the website.
Returning with the Encontro das Águas Series, with two days of exhibition, the event “Muzikstation: Restart” will take place on the 7th and 8th of July, at 8 pm, on the stage of Teatro Amazonas. With the Amazonas Philharmonic and the Grupo Vocal dos Corpos Artísticos, the show seeks to bring the experience of having an orchestra playing video game soundtracks. Tickets can be purchased on the website.
On Sunday, the 9th, Ballet Álvaro Gonçalves will present “Our Dance”, at 7 pm, with the aim of exploring the mix of rhythms and the delicacy and control of classical ballet. The show lasts around 1h30 and tickets are on sale on the website.
On July 11, at 8 pm, the Theater will host the show “Caput Art 5”, which, through dance, makes reference to article 5 of the constitution, which defends that all people are equal before the law. Held by the Corpo de Dança do Amazonas, the event is free and open to all audiences.
On Friday, the 14th, the Corpo de Dança do Amazonas will bring, at 4 pm, the contemporary dance performance “Sarau no Hall – International Men’s Day”. The show will occupy the hall of Teatro Amazonas, and will be open to the public for anyone who wants to appreciate the art.
On the 15th and 16th, both at 11 am, the Encontro das Águas Series brings the children’s program “Disquinhos”, whose tickets can be purchased on the website. The cultural presentation, guided by the Chamber Orchestra of Amazonas and Cia de Teatro Metamorfose, will feature fables by Aesop, tales by Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm, indigenous legends, nursery rhymes and texts in the public domain that will be performed in various languages, such as music, puppet theater and shadows.
Closing the program with another event from the Encontro das Águas Series, the classic by Miguel de Cervantes will be brought back, with the Amazonas Philharmonic, the Associação Belas Artes and the Ballet Álvaro Gonçalves in a reinterpretation of the work “Dom Quixote”. The show will have four sessions, on the 12th, 14th and 15th of July at 8pm, and on the 4th at 7pm. Tickets are available on the website.
