The sale will directly benefit 20 management families.
“The fair represents an opportunity to generate income for these families. Once again, we invite the public of Manaus to attend our fair and buy quality, healthy and sustainably sourced fish, the result of the hard work of managers who believe in the value of the standing forest”,
says the manager.
The Tambaqui Fair is the result of a partnership between FAS and the Association of Residents and Users of RDS Mamirauá Antônio Martins (Amurman). The sale of tambaqui is supported by the Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), the Amazonas State Secretariat for the Environment (Sema) and the State Secretariat for Rural Production (Sepror).
