The German beer Spaten was announced as the official beer of the 38th edition of Oktoberfest Blumenau. The drink, which arrived in Brazil in 2021, was once the official beer of the 37th edition of Oktoberfest Blumenau and is known worldwide for being the first of the Munich Halles type, a golden-colored drink with a more malty flavor than the traditional Pilsen.

The opening ceremony of the festival, which takes place with the tapping of the party’s first barrel of beer, took place for the first time with Spaten in 2022. “We are looking forward to repeating this ritual, which for me was a great honor in the last edition. It is with great pride that we will continue to strengthen the brewing bond between Brazil and Germany, with the Spaten style of being strong”, comments the brand’s marketing director, Joice Carvalho.

The 37th edition of Oktoberfest had a record attendance, with a total of 630,000 visitors. For the first time, there was an exclusive environment for the official beer, the Camarote Spaten. The Ambev brand also promoted seven national shows, open bar and open food of typical foods and surprise attractions, such as the pocket-show of the German band Voxxclub.

“Ambev accepted the challenge of resuming Oktoberfest with us in its most challenging period, which was the return after the pandemic in 2022, and together we made a historic edition of the party. May you be officially very welcome to the biggest German party in the Americas for the next six years”, comments the Mayor of Blumenau, Mário Hildebrandt.

The 38th edition of the event takes place between October 4th and 22nd, in Vila Germânica. Tickets are now available on the official website.
