Employees of the Central Bank decided to intensify the standard operation in view of the government’s intention to call a competition for the autarchy without taking forward the career restructuring category.
In an assembly, Sinal (National Union of Central Bank Employees) decided to resume the standard operation, which will be intensified from this Monday (17).
According to the entity, delays and interruptions in several BC services may become increasingly frequent and spread to departments still outside the stoppages.
One of the areas that is already being affected by the BC’s standard operation is the Financial and Technological Innovations Laboratory (Lift Lab), an ecosystem of financial and technological innovations, coordinated by Fenasbac and BC, supported by technology companies.
Lift, elected one of the best innovation laboratories in the world, develops innovation proposals for the National Financial System (SFN), benefiting society and the economy.
The publication of the list of selected projects, which was scheduled to be released on 07/03, was postponed to the end of July 2023, impacting the initial schedule. The Lift also predicted the start of the project laboratory for 07/24, and this does not have a start date.
“Without the Treasury opening a dialogue channel with the entities that represent the BC’s technical staff, the atmosphere in the BC tends to become unsustainable, putting at risk the autarchy’s deliveries to society and the fulfillment of its institutional mission, including its role regulator and inspector of the National Financial System and as manager of the STR, Selic and Pix”, says Fábio Faiad, national president of Sinal.
The association is now trying to set up an audience with the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, to try to convince him to propose a provisional measure, or bill of law, for the creation of remuneration for productivity, along the lines of the productivity bonus for tax auditors of the Federal Revenue.
Recently, Minister Esther Dweck (Management and Innovation in Public Services), who received the Signal for a conversation, publicly expressed the government’s disagreement with a new career plan for BC servants.
The main change in the proposal for restructuring the career of BC employees is the requirement of higher education for the position of technician.
Without the restructuring, Sinal foresees a worsening of the scenario of dismantling the BC’s specialist career, which has been taking place in the last decade, with readjustments below inflation and with growing asymmetries in relation to similar careers (analysts).
