The special O Melhor de São Paulo Gastronomia – Restaurantes, Bares e Cuisine brings a selection of more than 900 places to eat and drink in the city, presented according to their specialty and with information about the neighborhoods in which they are located.

At the bottom of Villa San Pietro, French chef Alain Poletto recreates the bistros of his country without closing the door to other influences. BLAISE
One of the restaurants at the Rosewood São Paulo hotel mixes French techniques with Brazilian ingredients. In the open kitchen overlooking the garden, headed by Felipe Rodrigues, starters such as braised tongue with potato salad, red wine sauce, watercress and mustard à l’ancienne (R$ 85). A hit among the main dishes, the chicken with porcini jus and hollandaise is enough for two (R$ 295).

Acquired in 2021 by chef Erick Jacquin, it maintains a typical bistro menu. CLOS WINE BAR

Inaugurated in 1935, it maintains the elegance of other times, especially in the standard of service. The house celebrates 21 years of existence. Olivier Anquier serves a single dish, a recipe taken from his aunt’s notebook: entrecote with creamy sauce, the ingredients of which he does not reveal. In operation for almost seven decades, its charming decor has been preserved. Despite the name and the 100% French decoration, the house that belongs to the Famiglia Nino Group, owned by chef Rodolfo De Santis, shares the menu with Italian dishes. The most requested of the French entrees, the brioche cocotte with mushrooms and soft yolk au gratin (R$75) whets the appetite for the confit de canard, which features duck leg confit with rice from the same bird (R$79).

It is the most refined house in the group, where chef Erick Jacquin serves some of his greatest hits. RUELLA BISTRÔ
Chef Danielle Dahoui opened the house in 1996, at the end of a romantic alley. There, the French menu receives Asian influences.
