The federal government releases, as of this Thursday (18), R$ 14.2 billion for the payment of Bolsa Família in May. There will be 21.2 million families benefited this month with a minimum value of R$ 600, according to Caixa Econômica Federal.

The Early Childhood Benefit will also be paid —an additional BRL 150 per child up to 6 years old—, as was done in March and April. The bank claims that, in total, 7.3 million families will benefit from the extra amount, which should serve 9 million children.

However, this month beneficiaries will not have access to Auxílio Gás, which is bimonthly and will have its next installment paid in June, according to Caixa. To receive it, you must be enrolled in CadÚnico and meet the program requirements. In April, the R$110 benefit was available to 5.69 million families, at a cost of R$626.2 million.

This Thursday (18), people with NIS (Social Identification Number) ending in 1 begin to receive the benefit.

As of June, the government will also start paying an additional fee for each member of the family between the ages of 7 and 18 and for pregnant women.
