Manaus (AM) – The “#SouManaus Passo a Paço 2023”, held by the City of Manaus, in the historic center of the city, consolidates itself as a successful event for all audiences. The second day of the festival, this Wednesday (6), promises to take to the stage located on the Malcher platform, in the port area of the city, a mixture of rhythms, from samba and pagode to funk, MPB and dancehall, with the participation of artists nationals, like Zeca Pagodinho, followed by MC Kevin O Chris, and Marina Sena.
The director-president of the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), Osvaldo Cardoso, recalls that the festival has two main stages, which will bring in the line-up the strength of Brazilian musicality, with national and regional artists.
“This is the biggest integrated arts event in the north of the country, the second biggest in Brazil. We are working to continue growing at each edition and we want to offer this grandeur to the population, seeking to bring this diversity of national and local artists and, of course, our international mega-attraction”,
says Osvaldo.
The second largest stage, located next to the Customs House, also inside the port, holds a fixed concentration of up to 20,000 people. In space, the headliner brings one of the great names of the national rock scene, the singer Lobão and the Brazilian rock band, Biquíni, in addition to other local attractions.
With more than one hundred hours of programming distributed in ten areas of occupation, and seeking to reinforce the legacy of valuing local culture and respect for diversities, “#SouManaus Passo a Paço 2023”, also has a list of regional artists from various segments, such as Strangers Hard Rock, CIA de Teatro Metamorfose, Grupo Teu, Casa da Comédia Manauara, Leandro Leite, Alexa Ingrid, Lobão do Grafite, Artigo 5, Anna Suav, Kelton Piloto, and Mestre Canela, in addition to including more than 600 workers of the local culture.
In this edition, Manaus City Hall increased the number of local artists by more than 580% compared to the first edition, in 2015, where only 12 local artists were involved. In all, the event features 77 regional musical artists, and will benefit more than 600 local culture workers, more than 160 event scenography workers, 75 artisans, and 200 food handlers, generating more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs in the preparation and operation of the event.
