Digital search tool from the Secretariat of Finance finds the cheapest prices in seconds

The State Department of Finance (SEFAZ) created the ‘Busca Price’ application, which makes it possible to consult throughout the capital for a period of 7 days. The virtual tool can be used to avoid moving around the city, and to facilitate savings when shopping.

Last Friday (27), SEFAZ specialists consulted the value of the items: backpack, pen, notebook for one subject, notebook for 10 subjects, pen, pencil, textbook, ruler, notepad, concealer, highlighter , sharpener, eraser and case. The complete list with the lowest values ​​was around BRL 104.54, while the most expensive reached a total cost of BRL 1,962.36.

The cost survey was carried out directly on the website of the Treasury Department, www.sefaz.am.gov.br, individually placing the name of each item in the list of school supplies of a private education network, for those who are enrolled in the 2nd year of high school. “Search Price was developed by the Government of Amazonas to facilitate the search for any item purchased with an invoice. As soon as the company issues the document, the information goes to the Sefaz database, and in seconds, it becomes available to anyone who accesses the tool. There is also the availability of the most recent values ​​and with the most advantageous prices in an easily identifiable way. Next to these values, the Treasury Department placed the figure of a small fire, highlighting that this operation is the most recent”, explained the head of the Information Technology department, Rodrigo Albuquerque.

The technician also emphasized that there is no periodicity for using the tool, but it is possible to specify the date of the search, as well as the geographic region in order to facilitate access by potential customers. “Those interested can consult for items purchased recently, in the last 24 hours, 48 ​​hours and up to 7 days. Sefaz created this limiter so that Internet users have a better chance of finding the product on the shelf, since in many cases, after that date, many products have already been sold. We also created filters by location that delimit the area in: 2 km, 5 km, 7 km, 10 km or the entire city. This facilitates access for people who do not have their own transport, those who use the public transport system prefer to buy all items close to home”, clarified Rodrigo.

Employee Diepson Menezes, along with his wife Gabriela Souto, who is an oral health technician, are the parents of a 4-year-old child, and they bought all school items without consulting the Price Search tool. “We didn’t know that we could access and analyze price differences, especially school supplies. This tool helps a lot to save money, because in addition to the material requested by the school, we also spend on the uniform, and we can also use it to look for other items that are more affordable”, commented the mother.
