the mythology of Dessana
The mythological narrative in question allows us to follow Cem Pilum (bird’s) failure to comply with the Creator God’s order. In ancient times, there were ferocious animals that ravaged the land. Seeing this, the Creator God asked Cem Pilum to make the water of the entire world rise to the level of the forests, extinguishing these animals. However, the bird let the water exceed the defined limit and this situation generated discontent in the Creator God, causing him to come to the place where Cem Pilum was and solve the circumstance, killing him. After that, the water started to go down.
