Rui Costa says that New PAC will have a green background – 07/19/2023 – Market

The Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, said this Wednesday (19) that the New PAC, a program aimed mainly at investments in infrastructure, will create a specific fund to finance the decarbonization of the economy.

“We are going to have in the New PAC the creation of a green fund so that we can raise funds at very low interest rates and thus finance the decarbonization of our economy”, said Costa in an interview with Record News.

“When we withdraw buses powered by diesel and replace them with electric buses, we are making the environment cleaner”, he exemplified.

According to the minister, this instrument for raising international funds will also be used to fund more solar and wind farms and to promote the production of the so-called fuel of the future.

“Brazil stands out as the best place in the world for the production of this type of green hydrogen”, he defended.
