Retailer Grupo DB implements butcher shops and solidifies its position as a leader in the sector

Grupo DB already has 30 units ready, whether built, renovated or expanded, 25 of which are in Manaus

Over the past two years, the DB Group, the largest company in the retail sector in the north of the country, has invested in the refurbishment, expansion and modernization of all its butcher shops, becoming a reference in the sector and offering its customers premium and with a distribution and storage service found in the largest centers in the country.

“The reformulation of our butcher shops was a project thought out in the broadest possible way, as we want to give the customer a shopping experience that he still did not have in Manaus and show that our process starts from the acquisition of items to delivery to consumers”,

said the human resources director of Grupo DB, Elane Medeiros.

In the month that completes two years since the beginning of the reformulation of the butcher shops, the DB Group already has 30 units ready, whether built, renovated or expanded, 25 in Manaus, four in Boa Vista and one in Porto Velho.

The units have new, modern counters and range from 4 to 7 meters, adapted to the volume of service and the most modern refrigeration system on the market.

“Our modernization process begins with the purchase of the products that will be on display, since our specialized professionals follow up from the beginning of the purchase with accredited suppliers in all surveillance and commercialization bodies. We monitor the slaughter of the animals, we know the origin of all the fish – which are exclusively from nurseries, giving customers more security – and the birds. After this inspection at the time of purchase, the products undergo a rigorous transport and storage process to the butcher shops themselves”,

Elaine explained.

In the butchery units, all items are handled by professionals with specific training and according to each product.

“Professionals have the skills not only to cut meat or treat fish, but they know how to advise customers on the choice of cuts, how to make the best use of the products, they can indicate ingredients and advise on the best way of storage”,

The butcher shops in all stores are open every day, according to the opening hours of each unit.
