Abrasel (an association that brings together bars and restaurants) says it will propose to the Minister of Labor, Luiz Marinho, a meeting to defend the continuity of intermittent work.
This Tuesday (31), at a press conference for the release of new data from Caged (General Register of Employed and Unemployed), Marinho was asked if he would end intermittent work. At the time, the minister said that he would “not necessarily” extinguish this type of regime, in which the employee is paid by the hour and there is no establishment of a minimum working day.
“We are going to have to strengthen the role of inspections, inspections, regional labor offices”, added Marinho. He also praised the resumption of collective bargaining.
Abrasel defined the minister’s last statement on the subject as fundamental. The entity wrote, in a note, that the movement made by Marinho “demonstrates the understanding that intermittent work brings gains for workers and for businesses”.
In an interview with Sheetlast month, the minister had said that he did not see a company resorting to intermittent work and that the numbers would be evaluated.
