The Mocotó restaurant, one of the most traditional in the north of São Paulo, will gain a unit in Vila Leopoldina, in the west.
The opening is scheduled for the 13th of this month, a Thursday, with operation from 12h to 17h.
This will be the second street branch of the northeastern cuisine restaurant run by chef Rodrigo Oliveira. There are two other locations for Mocotó Café, with a reduced menu, inside Market de Pinheiros and shopping D, in the central region.
The menu features classic recipes from the headquarters in Vila Medeiros, such as tapioca dadinhos and mocofava, as well as new creations. This is the case with the pirarucu and sun-dried lamb skewers and the beef tongue braised in wine.
The dishes made also appear in new versions. One of them has chicken fillet parmigiana au gratin with Brazilian cheeses, and the other has cashew moqueca with red rice and coconut farofa.
The new Mocotó occupies a complex owned by the film production company O2 Filmes in Vila Leopoldina, a neighborhood that has seen large warehouses, many of them abandoned, give way to bars, restaurants and cafes.
