The Lojas Renner Institute, the retailer’s social investment arm, took advantage of the fact that this Wednesday (28) will be celebrated the International LGBTQIA+ Pride Day to announce the Pride Delas public notice, an initiative aimed at financing projects created by women.
R$ 250,000 will be allocated to five projects linked preferably to the areas of fashion, home fashion, beauty and self-esteem.
The program’s ambassador is the creator of CapaciTrans Network, Andréa Brazil, promoter of inclusive entrepreneurship actions in Rio de Janeiro. Last year, CapaciTrans was one of the projects financed by Renner.
“It was great for CapaciTrans to participate in the public notice. It made it possible for LGBTQIAPN+ people to think of fashion as an instrument of inclusion for all types of bodies, bringing greater representation in the fashion creation process. At the same time, it provided an approach to sustainability for those who have never had that look,” Andréa said in a statement.
Entries in the public notice can be made until July 14 on the Prosas platform.
In addition to promoting fashion projects, the Renner Institute will also allocate R$50,000 to Casa Neon Cunha, an institution that welcomes the homeless LGBTQIA+ population in the city of São Bernardo do Campo (SP). A thousand items will be donated, such as warm clothes, blankets, hygiene kits and the construction of new spaces for hygiene purposes.
