The lecture is part of the Orthopedics Week held by the unit, which will take place on the 30th and 31st of this month and on the 1st of September at the headquarters of the FHAJ.
The lecture, open to the public, will take place at 2 pm on the 1st of September with limited spaces. Registration can be done by clicking on the event banner on the website fhaj.am.gov.br or accessing the link
On August 30 and 31, the unit’s resident doctors who work in the specialty will receive training for the annual tests of the Brazilian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SBOT). Approval is essential for career continuity.
The director-president of the unit, physician Ayllon Menezes de Oliveira, emphasized the importance of professional qualification.
“The qualification of our professionals is directly reflected in the improvement of services to the population. Bringing in Dr. Kodi Kojima, a reference in the area of orthopedics, shows Fundação Hospital Adriano Jorge’s commitment to its patients and healthcare professionals. With the support of the Department of Health and the Government of Amazonas, we are always looking to offer a service of excellence for those who need the SUS”,
highlighted.
about the speaker
Kodi Kojima has a master’s degree from the Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology at HC-FMUSP and a doctorate from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. Among the positions he has held, he is a past president of the Brazilian Society of Orthopedic Trauma and has been president of the International Education Commission of the AO Foundation, a physician-run non-profit organization based in Davos, Switzerland, and led by a international group of surgeons specializing in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
“Dr. Kodi Kojima is a world authority on medical education. The pillar of the AO Foundation is to spread knowledge and it is part of this international organization. The idea of the lecture is to talk about medical education in these new times and it has a great deal of theoretical and practical baggage. What we are looking for is the best way to teach the next generation of physicians,”
said FHAJ orthopedics residency coordinator, doctor Luis Hidalgo.
The event has a partnership with companies from the Bringel group, IOL Implantes Ortopédicos and Biomédica Brasil and is carried out by FHAJ, with the support of the Secretary of State for Health and Government of Amazonas.
