Psychologist explains fear of Michael Jackson reported by Key on ‘BBB 23’ and Internet users; understand causes and treatments

In Key’s case, as a child, she even underwent therapy and hypnosis.

“Key is already experiencing a kind of trauma from being confined. So, yes, she can have a crisis. But this is treatable and curable. Psychotherapeutic follow-up is required. The best is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) — quotes the professional, contextualizing: — This phobia will depend on the stimuli. There are people who are afraid of snakes, but they live in a big city, so they won’t have that much problem. If that same person is afraid of elevators, for example, this fear can compromise their quality of life.

Inside the “BBB 23” house, Key had already spoken about the subject to his colleagues. According to her, the phobia started at age 9, around the time of Michael’s death. Marvvila even questioned her if this fear was due to the “Thriller” clip, which has zombies, but the sister said no, saying that she usually has many dreams in which the artist appears. The psychologist clarifies:

— Usually, a specific phobic disorder comes from a trauma, which can start in childhood. In Key’s case, it was through Michael’s death. The event was shown on TV for a long time, those morbid things, the coffin… I spent many days looking at that. For a 9-year-old, it’s still a trauma.
