Presentations by the 2023 Carnival samba schools gain dates

The official presentations at the Sambódromo start on February 16
Manaus (AM) – The programming of the parades of the samba schools that make up the 2023 Carnival were released this Thursday afternoon (19). The presentations of the Special Group associations will be on February 18th and those of Access Group A and B, on the 16th and 17th respectively, at the Professor Gilberto Mestrinho Convention Center – Sambódromo de Manaus.
In a meeting this Thursday (19), at the headquarters of the Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy, the date was formalized between the portfolio holder, Marcos Apolo Muniz, and the presidents of the Special Group schools.
According to Apolo, schools need to present documentation to receive public funds from the State Government to support the parades.
“The resource is in the state account and ready to be released to the associations that, in turn, need to be able to receive this amount, that is, with documental and fiscal regulation”, he pointed out.
He adds that the popular festival adds factors that boost the economy in Amazonas.
“The Sambódromo receives a grandiose structure to receive revelers. Employment and income are generated both in the warehouses, months before the party and during, with the sale of products around the convention center. The Manaus Carnival enters the tourist route of popular festivals and receives people from all over Brazil, therefore, the care of the State Government in supporting and bringing the best to the reveler who seeks entertainment or who goes in search of income generation” , points out Apollo.
Samba schools
The official presentations at the Sambódromo begin on February 16, with the samba schools of the Access Group B: Unidos da Coophasa, Unidos da Cidade Nova, Legião de Bambas, Mocidade de Ipixuna, Meninos Levados, Império do Mauá, Leões do Barão Açú, Balaku Blaku and Gaviões do Parque 10.
On the 17th of February, the schools of Access Group A: Academicos da Cidade Alta, Beija-flor do Norte, Dragões do Império, Mocidade Independente do Coroado, Mocidade Independente da Raiz, Império do Hawai, Sem Commitment, Eastern Tradition and President Vargas.
On the third and last day, February 18, it is the turn of the associations that make up the Special Group: Vila da Barra, Unidos do Alvorada, Andanças de Cigano, Reino da Liberdade, Mocidade Independente de Aparecida, A Grande Família, Cousins from the Island and Victoria Regia.
