The Portuguese brand Vista Alegre, in partnership with Academia da Cachaça, created a glass for cachaça. The container is 87 ml and made of crystal, designed by designer Hugo Amado. The launch of the item takes place this Wednesday (18th), in São Paulo, and the 25th in Rio de Janeiro. The sale will be made at the Vista Alegre store, in São Paulo, as well as other points of sale across the country, which can be seen on the brand’s website. The cup is sold in a kit with two units, for R$1,200.

During the development of the cachaça glass, the Academia da Cachaça brought together a group of experts, such as producers, distributors, content creators about the drink and a master blender to carry out tastings, with the aim of stimulating the senses and maximizing flavors. A glass version of the cup is in development.

Vista Alegre was the first Portuguese industrial unit dedicated to porcelain, founded in 1824, in addition to being one of the four crystal producers in the world. The Academia da Cachaça bar and restaurant was founded in 1985, in Rio de Janeiro, and is one of those responsible for the appreciation of cachaça, long considered a second-rate drink. Today, it has two units in Rio, in Leblon and Barra da Tijuca.
