Unpublished songs by the composer receive lyrics from names like Arnaldo Antunes and Nei Lopes in a song album. ♪ Alfredo da Rocha Vianna Filho (April 23, 1897 – February 17, 1973), Pixinguinha, left a trunk full of unreleased songs when he died 50 years ago. No less than 50 original compositions by the artist are being revitalized and recorded in an inventory orchestrated by the Instituto Moreira Salles (IMS), with the endorsement of Marcelo Vianna, grandson of the composer, arranger, flutist and saxophonist from Rio de Janeiro. Some of these songs generate posthumous partnerships that will be presented in an album entitled Pixinguinha Canção and expected to reach the music market in 2023. Paulinho Moska, for example, put lyrics to Modinha and gave rise to the song A dor brings the present. Nei Lopes wrote the verses for the samba Me leva, neném, presumably composed in 1943 by Pixinguinha in partnership with a composer identified as Visconde de Bicuhyba. Arnaldo Antunes, on the other hand, became Pixinguinha’s partner when he set the polka Poética to music, transforming it into the song Chuvisco na tile.
