Pis/Pasep 2023: see who receives the allowance in April – 05/04/2023 – Market

Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil pay, this month, the PIS/Pasep allowance to private initiative workers born in May and June and civil servants with the end of enrollment 2 and 3. There will also be an extra lot for 2.7 million beneficiaries.

PIS is paid by Caixa, according to the worker’s month of birth, while Pasep, released by Banco do Brasil, follows the order of the last registration digit.

The extra batch of PIS/Pasep will be allocated to workers entitled to the benefit, but who had registration discrepancies and were not included in the previous batches.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment, responsible for releasing the amounts, did not inform the number of workers who will receive the benefit this month.

Previous data show that, in the 2023 batch, allowances will be paid to 22.9 million workers entitled to receive the benefit, of which 20.4 million are entitled to PIS and another 2.5 million are entitled to Pasep, totaling around R$ 22 billion released.

Who is entitled to the PIS/Pasep allowance?

The allowance is paid to workers who meet the following requirements:

• Have formally worked for at least 30 days in the pay base year
• Be enrolled in PIS/Pasep for at least five years
• Have an average remuneration of up to two minimum wages for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, in the base year of 2021
• Having the data correctly informed by the employer in Rais (Annual List of Social Information) or in eSocial

How much will the worker receive?

Up to minimum wage. The amount paid varies according to the number of months worked in the base year, ranging from R$ 109 to R$ 1,302. The total received by the beneficiary is the sum of the current minimum wage for each month worked, with a period equal to or greater than 15 days being considered a full month.

How will the payment be made?

For those who have a checking or savings account at Caixa, the PIS payment is made directly into the account. For the other beneficiaries, the value is available in digital social savings, which can be accessed through the Caixa Tem application.

It is also possible to withdraw amounts with the social card at lottery shops, ATMs and Caixa Econômica Federal branches.

In the case of Pasep, the amount is automatically credited to those who have a checking or savings account at Banco do Brasil. For non-clients, withdrawals are only available at the BB branch counters, upon presentation of an identification document.

What is the PIS/Pasep payment schedule in 2023?

The allowance payment calendar follows the birthday of private initiative workers or the end of enrollment for public servants. The dates were approved by Codefat (Deliberative Council of the Worker Support Fund) in December, according to Sheet anticipated.

When does the payment of the PIS/Pasep extra lot start?
