PIS 2023 Calendar: Box paid for penultimate batch; see dates – 06/14/2023 – Market

Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil paid the fifth and penultimate batch of the PIS/Pasep 2023 wage bonus to 4.3 million workers this Thursday (15). The amount released by the MTE (Ministry of Labor and Employment) adds up to R$ 4.4 billion in resources.

Professionals from private companies born in September and October and civil servants with registration ending in 6 or 7 who carried out formal activity in 2021, the base year of payment, receiving a salary of about two minimum wages are entitled to the benefit.

Formal workers are paid by Caixa. The amount released is R$ 3.7 billion for 737.1 thousand professionals from private companies. At Banco do Brasil, R$ 621.2 million will be paid to 538.4 thousand employees.

So far, in four batches, the government has already paid benefits to 15.7 million workers, totaling R$ 15.8 billion released. There are, however, 278,729 beneficiaries who have not yet withdrawn the amounts, leaving R$ 283,872,276 “forgotten”.

How much is it possible to receive?

With the increase in the minimum wage to R$1,320 on May 1st, the amount of the salary allowance changed, ranging from R$110 to R$1,320. The professional needs to comply with the program rules to receive the benefit and the amount paid varies according to the months worked in the base year.

Caixa also released R$ 25.4 billion in PIS/Pasep quotas for those who worked between 1971 and 1988 and who still haven’t withdrawn the money from their quota. There are 9.1 million workers entitled to PIS quotas and 1.4 million to Pasep.

The money will be available until August 5th, through the FGTS (Service Time Guarantee Fund) application and the amounts are also paid to the heirs.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PIS/PASEP QUOTE AND WAGE ALLOWANCE?

The quota is different from the PIS/Pasep salary allowance. Until 1988, companies made individual deposits in the PIS/Pasep fund; therefore, only workers between 1971 and 1988 are entitled.

Later, the Constitution changed the rules and the money came from the FAT (Fundo de Amparo ao Trabalhador), which pays unemployment insurance. In 2020, the rule changed and the amounts migrated to FGTS.

The salary bonus is an amount paid annually to those who, in the base year, worked with a formal contract earning up to two minimum wages, on average. The value of the PIS/Pasep allowance is proportional to the months of work, limited to the minimum wage in the withdrawal year.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE THE RIGHT TO PIS/PASEP?

The worker who, in the base year of 2021, is entitled to the PIS/Pasep allowance:

• Performed paid activity with a formal contract for at least 30 days in 2021

• Received up to two minimum wages, on average

• You have been enrolled in the PIS/Pasep for at least five years

• Had their data correctly informed by the employer in Rais and eSocial

HOW TO CONSULT PIS/PASEP?

To find out if he will receive it, the worker can consult the benefit through the gov.br portal, just:

• Log in or, if you do not have a registration, you can do it on this site

• Then click on “Salary Allowance”

• On the next screen, information will appear on whether or not the worker will receive the benefit

It is also possible to consult through the Digital Work Card application, just access the application and:

• Log in with the data registered on the gov.br portal.

• On the home screen, click on “Abono Salarial Consult”. If the option does not appear, click on the menu at the bottom of the screen, then on “Benefits and Salary Allowance”

HOW IS THE PIS ALLOWANCE PAYMENT?

• Those who have a checking or savings account at Caixa will receive the credit automatically

• By credit through Caixa Tem, in a digital social savings account

• At ATMs, lottery outlets and CAIXA Aqui correspondents using the Social Card and password

• At Caixa branches, presenting an official identification document

HOW IS THE PASEP ALLOWANCE PAYMENT?

• Anyone who has a checking or savings account at Banco do Brasil will receive the credit automatically

• For those who don’t have one, the withdrawal must be made at the cash desk at any Banco do Brasil branch.

HOW DO I GET ACCESS TO PIS/PASEP SHARES VALUES?

• Access the FGTS application and click on “Enter the application”

• The phrase “FGTS would like to use Caixa.gov.br to log in” will appear; go to “Continue”

• Enter your CPF, enter your password and click “Login”

• On the home screen, information regarding the balance available for withdrawal from the PIS/Pasep quota will appear.

• Click on the message “You have withdrawal available” and then go to “Request PIS/PASEP withdrawal”

• The worker must choose the form of withdrawal, whether account credit or in person, verify their data and select “Confirm withdrawal”

• The balance may be credited to the bank account of any institution indicated by the worker, at no cost.

HOW DO HEIRS HAVE THE RIGHT TO THE PIS/PASEP QUOTA?

• In the case of an heir, the beneficiary must access their own FGTS application and request the withdrawal in the “My Withdrawals” option

• Click on “Other Withdrawal Situations” and then choose the option “PIS/PASEP – Worker’s Death”

• In this case, it is necessary to present documents

• Documents:

• The account holder must present the identification document. For citizens who are going to redeem the money because they are the heirs of the worker or civil servant who died, you must present one of the following documents if you go to the agencies in person:

• Heir’s identification document

• Identification document of the shareholder who has already died

• Proof of enrollment in PIS or Pasep

• Certificate or statement of dependent entitled to INSS death pension

• Certificate provided by the public body, in the case of a civil servant

• Judicial license designating the successor or legal representative

• Formal sharing or public deed of inventory and sharing
