Pedagogical exhibition and musical shows mark 10 years of Liceu Parintins

High school students are the protagonists of the program entitled “10 years of art that transforms”

Created with the aim of training young people from Parintins for an artistic career, the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Claudio Santoro, Parintins unit, completes 10 years of activities this September. To celebrate and reinforce the performance of the arts school of the Government of Amazonas, managed by the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, a special program will be promoted from Monday to Saturday (25 to 30/09), at Bumbódromo, headquarters of the high school in municipality (369 kilometers from Manaus).

Interactive meetings with students and collaborators, theatrical shows, musical and dance shows, led by the artistic groups of the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Claudio Santoro de Parintins, take place throughout the week. The Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy, Marcos Apolo Muniz, highlights the educational and training work for the reference arts in the state.

“Liceu Parintins plays a fundamental role in the economic and social construction of the city. It is an institution that trains and enhances the talent of a new generation of artists over these 10 years. It is a generation that graduates with more training and a different perspective on what art, culture and undertaking in the artistic segment are”,

says the secretary.

The island unit currently has two thousand students, 24 teachers, in addition to 98 employees, including pedagogues, center coordinators and interns.

Special itinerary

The presentations are open to the public and an extensive itinerary was put together at Bumbódromo, for September 30th (Saturday), as part of the “10 years of Art that Transforms” program.

The director of the unit, Andressa Oliveira, reinforces that the idea is to bring attractions to the public with the main cast, made up of high school students and graduates. “Many of them are already at universities, following the path of arts. After the establishment of the Liceu in Parintins, a new perspective of art was constructed, through culture. So the idea is to show the work that the school develops”, points out Andressa.

On that day, from 3pm, the Bumbódromo hall will host artistic exhibitions, the Creative Culture and Economy Fair and creative karaoke. Guided tours can also be taken in the cultural space.

Still in the hall, fun games, games and cultural competitions will be promoted for children, as well as choreographic and theatrical performances and an acoustic show with regional repertoire and MPB.

Two sessions will be offered at Cineclube Odinéia Andrade, also on Saturday: 4pm to 6pm, screening of the film “King Monkey”; and 6 to 8 p.m., “Fast and Furious.”

At the Bumbódromo viewpoint, privileged by the panoramic view of the city, from 4:30 pm to 9 pm, the public can find the gastronomic space and the stage for musical shows with high school students and teachers.
