Parintins Folk Festival will have, for the first time, a gastronomic square

Amazonastur opened the public call for occupation of gastronomic establishments and the deadline for registration ends on June 18

Manaus (AM) – For the first time, the Folk Festival of Parintins (369 kilometers from Manaus) will have a gastronomic square in the heart of the city, next to the Cathedral of Nossa Senhora do Carmo. The State Tourism Company (Amazonastur) has an open public call, until June 18, for the occupation of 20 points for the sale of food and beverages.

Running from June 27th to July 2nd, during the week of the 56th Parintins Folk Festival, the initiative will promote gastronomic tourism with typical food options, as well as snacks, sweets, snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

According to the president of Amazonastur, Gustavo Sampaio, the square was designed so that tourists have options throughout the day.

“There will be activities promoted by Amazonastur, such as the gastronomic square, a novelty, a pioneering activity, where the State Government will generate 60 direct jobs and around 200 indirectly”,

stated.

“There will be twenty work points (tents), with accreditation open until June 18, for those interested in supplying and selling their products (in the gastronomic square), at that time of the festival”, added the president.

Sampaio also points out that next to the gastronomic square, there will also be the Turistódromo, a cultural space and indigenous graphics, among other attractions. “We are working to offer the necessary infrastructure and structure so that those who come to Parintins are well received and get involved in the magic that is our festival”, he said.

Structure

Amazonastur is going to offer, to the accredited ones, tents of nine square meters, tables, chairs, point of electric energy, as part of the structure of the gastronomic square.

The site will be set up in the same region where the Turistódromo will be installed, a space that houses tourist services, with information on itineraries, instagrammables, distribution of gifts, among other programs.

The president of Amazonastur points out that priority will be given to service providers with the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ) in Parintins. The action seeks to promote the local economy and generate income for Parintinenses.
