Between September 13th and October 4th, the 7th Onça Meat Festival will take place, organized by the gastronomic platform Curitiba Honesta. In total, there are 38 participating bars, which will sell the dish for R$22 during the festival.
“Carne de Onça is the only typical food in Curitiba, the city’s cultural heritage. We are very proud to know that Curitiba Honesta contributed to the notoriety of the dish”, says Sérgio Medeiros, organizer of the festival and president of the Associação dos Amigos da Onça, an entity that seeks to make Carne de Onça a product with a Controlled Denomination of Origin (DOC). ).
