According to the bank, business expansion brought the need to centralize its business structure. Office of Brazilian fintech Nubank Disclosure / Nubank Nubank announced this Wednesday (7) the dismissal of 296 employees, as part of an integration of its operations area, the digital bank said in a statement. The institution stated that the operations area in Brazil was divided into independent units focused on different products, but that, with the expansion of the business, there was a need to centralize this structure. “This will allow an even more complete service to customers and gains in scale, with an integrated management of all products and services”, said Nubank, which said it did not foresee further restructuring. The digital bank also stated that the layoffs will not have an impact on final customer service. At the end of last year, Nubank had 8,049 employees, according to a regulatory document, in six countries, with the operation in Brazil being by far the main one.
