Novenas and Procession mark the Festejo de São José 2023 in Manaus

In 2023, the celebration becomes even more special, due to the Jubilee Year, in celebration of the parish’s 75th anniversary.
Manaus (AM) – With the theme “Walking with Saint Joseph, husband of Mary”, the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of São José Operário will celebrate on Sunday (19), the feast of the Patron Saint of Families of 2023. The celebrations will take place in the Parish itself, located on Avenida Visconde de Porto Alegre , Praça 14 de Janeiro neighborhood, South Zone of Manaus.
Between March 16th and 18th, at 7 pm, there will be a triduum in preparation for the Solemnity. On March 19th, the patron saint’s day, there will be novenas at the following times: 6am, 9am, 12pm, 4pm and 7pm.
In 2023, the celebration becomes even more special, due to the Jubilee Year, in commemoration of the 75 years of existence of the parish, animated since its foundation, in 1948, by the Salesian priests of Dom Bosco, as explained by the Parish Rector, Fr. .Jose Ivanildo.
“To celebrate St. Joseph, husband of Mary, is to remember the double affiliation of the Church in a single feast: children of Mary, adopted children of Joseph, her husband. In this special year, in which we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of our parish, we can only thank you for walking guided and animated by the intercession of this great and humble Saint”, reports the Salesian.
In addition, the Pastor-Rector also encourages all devotees to keep their spirituality alive through devotion to Saint Joseph.
“Come and thank, ask, intercede with us for peace in the world, for the unity of the Church, for the sanctification of our families and, above all, for our conversion to the Lord Jesus”, he concluded.
Another outstanding moment of the program will be the traditional Procession, which will start at 5 pm, leaving São José Sanctuary, and continuing along Av. Viscount of Porto Alegre, Av. Seventh of September, Av. Castelo Branco, Av. Ramos Ferreira, Av. Duque de Caxias, with the conclusion at the São José Sanctuary.
