New board of Sebrae-RS is sworn in in the Capital

Maintaining budget balance and matching projects in the three sectors – commerce and services, industry and agribusiness – is the main objective of the new president of the Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Companies in the State (Sebrae-RS), Luiz Carlos Bohn, sworn in this Tuesday (17), in a ceremony held at the entity’s headquarters, in Porto Alegre. The executive board was also officially declared in the 2023-2026 term, with re-elected André Vanoni de Godoy (superintendent director), Ayrton Pinto Ramos (technical director) and Marco Aurélio Paradeda (administration and finance director).

With a budget of BRL 330 million for 2023, the new manager says he will work with a focus on four main axes. “The first will be to improve the business environment through public policies that encourage the growth of the local economy. The second will be to encourage entrepreneurs, increase productivity and market share with education. Third, promote innovation and digitalization with a focus on economic results. And, finally, expanding access to credit.”

Bohn replaces Gilberto Porcello Petry, president of Fiergs who has held the position since 2019. One of the great challenges of his management was to help entrepreneurs during the most intense period of the pandemic. In this sense, Sebrae-RS sought to adapt various services and create new products to help businesses on an emergency basis. Consequently, there was a greater presence in the digital environment, reaching 497 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul.

Another highlight, in Petry’s opinion, was the rescue of Mercopar, promoted jointly with Fiergs, which had changes in the period for the consolidation of the event as a social innovation fair. In 2019, there were 7,000 visitors and around BRL 65 million in business generated. The 2022 edition reached 35,000 participants in face-to-face and virtual actions and surpassed BRL 430 million in financial transactions in business. “The result of the participants was impressive, in a survey, 93% proposed to participate again. With that, I consider our management quite satisfactory”, highlights Petry.

Prioritizing the use of data in deliberations also plays a fundamental role for Sebrae-RS. Therefore, one of the legacies of the last quadrennium is the creation of the Decision Room Oriented by Analytical Culture (DOCA), inaugurated at the entity’s Administrative Headquarters, in Porto Alegre. Aimed at multidisciplinary teams, the new collaborative space operates as a differentiated technological environment for meetings based on an innovative methodology, which unites the physical and the digital.

Developed by the Strategic Management and Information Technology areas of Sebrae-RS, together with the Cappra Institute for Data Science, the RS unit becomes the first to have this space.

Alongside the new executive board, the Fiscal Council of Sebrae-RS is composed of the holders: Fábio Avancini Rodrigues (Farsul), Gilberto Brocco (Fiergs) and Kalil Sehbe Neto (Badesul). And substitutes: Daniel Felipe Scherer (Banco do Brasil), Werner Kohler (Banrisul) and Adilson Chistovam (Caixa Econômica Federal).

Luiz Carlos Bohn was born in São Sebastião do Caí and is 76 years old. In July 2022, he was led for the third time to the presidency of the Fecomércio-RS / Sesc / Senac System (2022/2026 administration). He is also the 2nd vice president of the National Confederation of Commerce and holds the position of Coordinator of the Brazilian Chambers of Commerce. Businessman and BA in Accounting Sciences, since 1967 he works at LC Bohn Contabilidade LTDA, a company headquartered in São Sebastião do Caí and branches in Vale Real and Feliz.
