Natural gas market will be promoted at the Amazon International Gastronomy Fair

Manaus (AM) – The Amazonas Gas Company (Cigás) will promote the natural gas market and the actions adopted to advance this segment, especially among representatives of the gastronomy sector, during the International Amazon Gastronomy Fair, Figa 2023, held by the Association Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants (Abrasel in Amazonas), on Saturday (30th) and Sunday (1st), at the Vasco Vasques Convention Center.

During the two-day event, considered one of the largest in the region in this segment, the company will highlight the benefits provided by the use of fuel to users from different segments, including representatives of the gastronomy sector. Today, of the 344 Abrasel members, around 60 already use natural gas.

“Natural gas provides a set of benefits, compared to other fuels, to its users, which includes competitiveness in terms of economy, greater efficiency, safety, practicality due to continuous supply and payment for what is actually consumed” ,

reports the Company’s technical-commercial director, Clovis Correia Junior, highlighting that, in total, Cigás currently supplies 17,063 consumer units (CUs), in the thermoelectric, industrial, vehicle, commercial, residential and self-generation/liquefaction segments.

Cigás’ participation in the event ratifies its commitment to contributing to the socioeconomic development of Amazonas.

“This segment is gaining more and more importance in the local economic scenario, including as a tourist attraction, and providing jobs for the population”,

emphasizes the technical-commercial director.

Institutional exhibition

The Company will have a stand in the institutional exhibition area, where the public will be able to see presentations on the provision of the natural gas distribution and commercialization service provided by the concessionaire; the technologies used both in the construction of the natural gas distribution network (RDGN), and in the Company’s operation and security and monitoring systems; as well as becoming aware of the procedures for becoming fuel users, among other aspects. There will also be presentations of oven and stove conversion equipment, in accordance with quality standards.

The president of Abrasel in Amazonas, Rodrigo Zamperlini, states that Cigás has a great presence in the segment as it is a provider of natural gas for many establishments in the sector, not just those affiliated with Abrasel.

“For this reason, it made perfect sense for us to seek this partnership with the Company”,

highlighted Zamperlini, who also highlighted that it is a consolidated event, which attracts a lot of spotlight because it is business-related and also attractive to the public.

Minichefs Space

The participation of Companhia de Gás do Amazonas in the event will also be marked by encouraging children to enjoy gastronomic experiences and entertainment activities. This special program will be held at Espaço Minichefs, one of the launches of Figa 2023, with the support of Cigás.

On site, there will be cooking workshops in a show-class format. The objective is to encourage children to produce practical and healthy recipes, with a special regional touch. There will be a total of five workshops per day at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and 8pm, lasting 45 minutes each.

Children over five years old can participate – under this age, only if accompanied by their guardians. Each workshop will have the participation of 12 children. Mini pizzas, cupcakes and esfirras are already guaranteed on the menu. Participants will receive a certificate and a kitchen kit with an apron and cap, in addition to being able to take the food produced. To encourage inclusion, the environment will have a Libra interpreter.

Another attraction of the Minichefs Space, which should win over kids, will be the creative environment, which will have a sustainable bias, encouraging the planting of regional plant seeds. In it, workshops on painting on clay vases, graphics and painting designs on panels and paper will also be promoted, using information about the service provided by Cigás as a reference. Furthermore, children will be able to have fun with the Amazonas Gas Company mascot, Dutinho. To participate in the Minichefs Space activities, simply register during the event at the counter located in the same location.

Figa 2023

The Amazon International Gastronomy Fair will feature, in its general program, show-classes from renowned chefs in the segment, as well as lectures, workshops, product and service exhibitions, business rounds and other attractions. Around 15 thousand visitors are expected.

Showcase of the best of regional gastronomy, the fair is in its fifth edition and has become a meeting point for generating new business, as well as a favorable environment for professional development, exchanging experiences and expanding a network of contacts.
