From 6pm onwards, Largo de São Sebastião hosts a program to welcome the Christmas season

Manaus (AM) – The most traditional and emblematic cultural space in the city, Largo de São Sebastião, hosts this Sunday (3), starting at 6pm, the celebration that marks the beginning of the Enchanted World of Christmas program. The event brings the enchantment and magic of the season that lasts through the month of December.

The traditional arrival of Santa Claus, every year, surprises us with new things, being one of the most anticipated moments by the public. This year, it will be no different, a motorcade will accompany the protagonist of the party, alongside elves, typical characters and lots of music.

According to the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy, Marcos Apolo Muniz, the moment opens the season of artistic and musical shows at Largo de São Sebastião and cultural spaces, in addition to other activities that will take place in the surrounding area.

“There will be more than 80 shows in our cultural spaces, which will continue until December 23rd. To fulfill this agenda, approximately 300 artists from different segments were hired. In total, the Enchanted World of Christmas generates more than a thousand jobs in the cultural industry, in addition to boosting commerce, mainly in the city center”,

points out the secretary.

On the Largo de São Sebastião stage, the program will be from Thursday to Saturday, from 5pm to 8pm and, on Sundays, from 6pm to 9pm. At Parque Rio Negro, on Avenida Beira-Mar, São Raimundo, artistic performances will be on Saturdays and Sundays and, at the Instacção theaters and Gebes Medeiros, from Friday to Sunday. Still in Largo, the public will be able to check out the Christmas Fair, from 5pm to 9pm, with more than 20 stands and 168 local entrepreneurs, selling decoration, fashion, crafts and food items.

Another attraction that continues until December 23rd is the Santa Claus Factory, at the Palácio da Justiça Cultural Center, on Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, in the Center. Access is free, upon registration on the Culture Portal. The first were released on December 1st. New vacancies will be announced soon on Instagram @culturadoam.

As part of the Enchanted World of Christmas actions, the Government of Amazonas offers a varied and broad program benefiting different audiences: Natal nos Cetis (Full-Time Education Center); Christmas in the Municipalities (Parintins and Envira), Christmas in Network, covering the 22 municipalities, served by Liceu Online; with online transmission of themed shows; Itinerant Christmas in communities.
