The conclusion is contained in the research Portraits of Brazilian Society – Economy and Population, by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI).
According to the survey, 53% of those surveyed believe in an improvement in the economic situation, compared to 21% who believe that nothing should change in 6 months and 22% who believe that it will worsen in the same period. The percentage drops to 23% in the North and Central-West, to 20% in the Southeast and to 18% in the South. On the other hand, the North and Central-West lead the poor or very poor evaluation, with 44%, followed by the South ( 43%), the Southeast (39%) and the Northeast (30%).
Despite the less positive assessment of the current situation of the economy, 45% of the Brazilian population considers that there have been improvements in the last 6 months. Among those who consider the situation of the current economy to be bad or terrible, 17% believe that it is better than in the first quarter.
