The 12th game in the franchise, which gave a new beginning to the story after more than 30 years, was released on Tuesday (19) PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and computers. “It’s probably going to be a new character that we introduce, and that means weaving them into the story. The most recent is “Tanya Funkeira” from “Mortal Kombat 1”, in which the head of Outworld’s royal guard wears short green and yellow outfits, in a style with echoes of Anitta. The idea began in “Mortal Kombat X”, from 2015, which received a package with similar costumes. Liu Kang and Johnny Cage only received clothes in the colors of the flag, but “Kung Lao Gaúcho” received a general makeover, complete with a vest, neck scarf and an envious mustache. In the next game, “Mortal Kombat 11”, from 2019, it was the turn of “Kano Cangaceiro”. For the tribute, the villain put on a leather vest, cartridge belts on the shoulder straps of his cybernetic heart and, of course, the good old lamp hat.
