Meetings were held between the superintendent of Suframa and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The second edition of the Manaus Industrial Pole Sustainability Fair (FesPIM) began this Monday (6), in Brasília, and the superintendent of Suframa, Bosco Saraiva, held a schedule of meetings with ambassadors at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty ). The action resulted in good prospects for promoting exports from the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM), highlighting the need to customs the port in the municipality of Tabatinga (1,106 kilometers from Manaus).
Bosco Saraiva spoke, respectively, with ambassadors Fernando Pimentel, head of the Commercial Policy Department; Bruno Bath, head of the Special Advisory for Parliamentary and Federative Affairs; and Alex Giacomelli, head of the Trade Promotion Department.
The agenda was organized by minister Maria Deize Camilo Jorge, who is head of the Representation Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Northern Region (Erenor). She was present at the meetings and reinforced the importance of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM) for economic development and the preservation of the Amazon forest.
In addition to the issue of exports, which would involve the Pan-Amazonian countries, with a focus on Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, issues relevant to the current moment of the ZFM were also addressed, such as the IT Law.
At the end of the conversation, the superintendent invited the three ambassadors to participate in FesPIM and also to learn, in person, in Manaus, the potential and success of the Manaus Free Trade Zone project.
“It was a very positive agenda! All ambassadors were very receptive and understanding of the main agenda of our visit to Itamaraty, which is support so that, wherever possible, we can develop the export of products manufactured in the Manaus Industrial Complex. This is a very great need for our Free Zone”, summarized superintendent Bosco Saraiva, who was accompanied on the visits by Suframa’s chief of staff, Rafael Amorim, and the general coordinator of Communication and Institutional Affairs of the Municipality, Layanne Raquel.
