MARGS presents free screenings of the film Glauco do Brasil

Throughout the months of February and March, Margs (Praça da Alfândega, s/n) will present five free screenings of the film Glauco do Brasil (2015). The exhibitions will take place at the Margs Auditorium on February 1st, 11th, 15th, 25th and March 16th, always at 4 pm. This last session will feature the presence and chat with Zeca Brito, director of the documentary. With sessions open to the public, the space has a limit of 60 seats, which will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The cycle is part of the exhibition program Glauco Rodrigues — TROPICAL, currently on display at the museum, which takes a look at the works of the gaucho painter, focusing on the creative phase in which he used Brazilianness as the main theme of his paintings. Based on interviews and archives, the film presents the life trajectory of Glauco Rodrigues, following the changes in the artist’s artistic conceptions, starting from his early years in Bagé until his stay in Rio de Janeiro.
