Márcia Novo releases clip ‘Chama Pai’ with the viral influencer “pecanha”

Mixing piseiro and brega-funk, singer Márcia Novo will release next Thursday (16), the video clip for the new single ‘Chama Pai’. The song is a feat with northern digital influencer Eliana Franco, who went viral offering a ‘pecanha’ to his wife, Diva.

The song makes reference to the influencer’s catchphrases, which in the videos usually say “call dad, what nonsense!” and “only luxury, poison and power”. The tribute is not just in the title, the clip starring Eliana and Diva tells her story of overcoming obstacles, from humble origins to becoming one of the biggest digital influencers in the North region.

The author of the song explains that the song has the footprint of piseiro and brega-funk. “I’m passionate about our land and way of speaking, so I make a point of exaggerating the accents and slang, creating a particular identity for the rest of Brazil, which still knows very little about us and our musicality”, she says.

The idea for this feat came up in a simple way, during a barbecue with picanha, Eliana and Diva’s trademark, when Márcia promised to make a song to honor the influencer, after hearing her story. The owner of the catchphrase “Call father, what nonsense!” loved the single, recorded voice and participated in the music video.

Marcia Novo also highlights how the experience of the production process was with the influencer. “It was light, very fun and powerful, because after all, they are two lesbians, right? Márcia and Eliana being protagonists in this music scene, which is still so sexist here in Amazonas. My wife (Thaianty) directs the general production and Eliana’s wife (Diva) stars in the music video too”, she said.

Eliana has been loved by the public since it went viral on social media. It was with the production of content that portrays his routine with his wife and children in his house, under construction on the outskirts of Manaus, his intense faith in God added to the unique charisma and expansive way, that the digital influencer managed to surpass more than one million of followers adding Kwai, TikTok and Instagram.

“While we were recording, everyone ‘went crazy’ for Eliana, took a picture, video called the family. She was a sweetheart and attended to everyone. Eliana was happy to see herself as a protagonist beyond the networks and is feeling fulfilled. We are happy to provide this for her ‘, she commented.

The recordings were made on a floating boat and Marina do Davi, both typically Amazonian scenarios make up the theme of the clip highlighting the regional customs of those from the North.

“It’s cultural in our region that people have a barbecue on the weekend, take a bath in the river. We want to portray this to people who don’t know our culture, show our home, our land, our identity, you know? I have this desire to bring the North to Brazil more and more”, explains the singer.

The single is part of a new moment in Márcia Novo’s career, which started in September 2022 with ‘Sabemos Bem’. The musicality mixes accents and popular expressions of the ‘Amazonian’ that highlights popular characters and puts them in a place of protagonism, as happened with Nunes Filho, Zezinho Corrêa, David Assayag, Boi Boiola and now Eliana.
